With screens everywhere these days, keeping track of a child’s screen time can be challenging. To complicate matters further, some screen time can be educational and even aid in a child’s social development. Here are some points that can make your child’s use of screens and media in the right direction.
1. Preschool kids
At this age, a child should be allowed for some screen time, but it should not exceed about an hour a day. You should know about what they basically watch on the screen is more important than the duration of viewing the phone or Ipad. Always watch whatever your child is watching so you can understand what is happening and what turns the experience into a learning opportunity.
2. Early School Years
There should be a rule for using mobile phone for one to one and a half hours of fun screen time on school days, and it can be a little more increased on weekends.

You should be having a proper conversation with them about all the apps that are allowed for them. You must talk about the online safety that they must know about such as not sharing personal information like photos and contact number with strangers.

Teenagers basically needs their own space and freedom, and because of it the rules should be avoided and you must guide them In all the sense. Do an open conversation about the social media pressure, the cyberbullying and online safety, since there are many teens who face difficulties and risks than younger children.
No matter the age, there are few things that will be staying the same throughout the childhood. You should be a role model for your children, as the children copies all the things whatever they see in their parents. Keep communicating with your children, and make them comfortable so that they can have a talk with you about what they see online instead of hiding it and keeping it with themselves.
