Makeup for me was always been more than just a color and a product for me. Now it has been a journey for me by learning new things, my mistakes, and slowly figuring out what actually works for my face. When I look back to myself and compare it to where I am now, the change feels huge. Here are different points you must go through and avoid mistakes which I did earlier.

Here is the Evolution journey:
1. Learning by many trails and correcting errors
In the beginning my foundation shade was often wrong, and I wore it too thick because I thought more product meant better coverage. Today, this has changed a lot. I now understand my skin tone and what products actually work for my face. I test products before buying them and use just enough to look natural. Makeup is no longer a guessing game for me. It has become a skill I learned step by step.
2. Skin preparation: From Skipping It to Making It a Priority
In the starting, I never used skincare and jumped straight to the makeup. I never usedmoisturizer, and sunscreen first. But now, I am able to use cleanse, moisturise my skin, and apply sunscreen every time before touching any makeup.
3. From Heavy Coverage to a Natural Finish
When I was small, I believed that heavy and fully coverage foundation was the key to flawless skin. I used to apply thick layers to hide every spot and mark. But this often made my face look cakey, especially in photos. Now, I prefer a lighter base. I use foundation only where it is needed and let my natural skin show through. This gives a more natural, fresh look that feels more like me.
4. Eye Makeup: From Bold Experiments to Simple Elegance
My early eye makeup attempts were bold and, honestly a bit messy. I started applying dark, heavy eyeshadow with sharp, uneven lines because I copied looks online without knowing the basic techniques and knowledge. Blending was not something I knew how to do. With time and practice, my eye makeup has become simpler and more polished.
5. From fingers to the right makeup tools
In the starting when I was applying makeup, I was only using my fingers in the beginning for almost everything, from blending foundation to applying eyeshadow. Now, I use proper brushes and blending sponges for different parts of my face. I also clean my brushes regularly now, which I never used to think about before.
6. The time and Effort
Earlier my makeup routine was always done in a hurry. I applied everything quickly, just to get out of the door. The result often looked uneven. My routine has now became something which i enjoy, rather than something I rush through.
Looking back to my makeup journey, I can see how much I have grown, not just in skill but also in confidence and self acceptance. What started as confused, random experiments which has slowly turned into a routine that feels natural and personal to me. According to me makeup is about expressing myself and feeling good in my own skin.
